Mutton Curry ||Ep No :199

 

The mutton meat is a nutritious gold mine, including zinc for better immune system, the B12 vitamin for nerve function and iron for healthy blood.It is abundant in iron , which is essential for preserving normal blood haemoglobin levels and avoiding anaemia.Mutton is highly nutritious food due to its high protein content and diverse range of vitamins and minerals.The red meat is a delicious and nutritious complement to your normal diet .People adding mutton to their taste buds yet nutritious as well.

Ingredients

Mutton- Half Kg, chopped
Garlic- One fistful
Ginger- One medium size, finely chopped
Green chilies- Four Nos
Big onion - Two Nos
Tomato - One Nos
Curry Leaves- One and half fistful
Pepper corns - One fistful, whole
Coconut oil- Five tablespoon
Salt - As per taste
Water - Two cups




Method of preparation

Take half kg mutton, wash and chop into small pieces.
Add two green chilies , salt and one cup water , stir well and cook mutton in pressure cooker for three whistles on medium flame.
Into a pan , add two tablespoon of coconut oil, add one fistful of garlic , saute well until it changes its colour.
Now saute one medium size ginger in oil, keep aside.
Now saute two big onion , until it turns pink colour.
Then add two tablespoon of coconut oil, saute two green chilies.
Take one and half fistful of fresh curry leaves , saute in oil until crispy.
Add some coconut oil, if required and saute one chopped tomato.
Now add one fistful of whole pepper corns , fry in oil and keep in another plate.
Transfer all the roasted ingredients in the mixi jar, grind into fine paste.
Once mutton is cooked, after three whistles , when it released pressure , keep mutton and its stock separate.
To another pan, add two tablespoon of coconut oil.
Saute cooked mutton pieces into it.
Now add prepared grinder paste, stir well.
Then add the mutton stock and bring curry to boil.
Switch off the flame and serve mutton curry with rice , appam and porotta.
