Chemmen Fry || Prawns Fry ||Ep No :193

Prawns provide several health advantages since they are high in nutrients, vitamins and minerals such as protein , vitamin B6, Omega - 3 - fatty acids, iron , phosphorus , zinc and magnesium.Prawns are good seafood choices.They are low in mercury and calories with high protein.The only drawback are that they are higher in cholesterol than most fish.

 Ingredients

Prawns- 500 grams
Red chili powder- One tablespoon
Turmeric powder- Quarter teaspoon
Pepper powder- One  teaspoon
 Coconut oil - Seven tablespoon
Big Onion - Two Nos
Garlic - Eight Nos
Ginger - One medium size
Salt - As per taste
Water- As required


Method of preparation
Take half kg prawns, clean well.
Take one tablespoon red chili powder, quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder, one teaspoon pepper powder and salt.
Add water and make it to thick paste.
Marinate prawns well with three fourth of spice mix .
Chop two big onion.
Add eight garlic and a piece of ginger to it.
Then add the remaining spice mix to the big onion.
To a pan, add five tablespoon of coconut oil , add marinated prawns, fry well.
Remove from the pan after frying prawns
Then to the same pan, add marinated big onion,
add a stick of fresh curry leaves and saute well until dark brown color.
Then add roasted prawns and mix well.
Serve with hot rice.
