Moon fish is also known as Opahs which has a small family Lampriade.There are two genera of family for the moon fish .They are Lampris and the monotypic Megalampris.These fishes are considered to have near whole body endothermy in which the entire body is maintained at around 5 degree and above of the surrounding water.This is unique fish as most fish are entirely cold blooded in nature or capable of warming only some of their bodies .

Method Of Preparation :
Take fifteen Moon fish, clean , wash under running water.
To a plate add half teaspoon turmeric powder, two teaspoon red chili powder, one teaspoon Kashmiri chili powder and salt along with quarter teaspoon of white pepper powder.
Marinate the mix to the fish and allow to rest for half an hour.
Switch on the flame and keep a pan.
When the pan get heat up , add four tablespoon of fresh coconut oil.
Once oil gets heated up, add some curry leaves along with its stem.
Then keep the fish one by one to the oil and fry well.
Now add crushed ginger and five to six crushed garlic along with its outer skin to the oil and fry along with the fish.
The aroma of the curry leaves, crushed ginger and garlic give a special smell and taste to the fish fry.
Fry both the sides until it turns brown color and it becomes crispy.
Always remember to keep the fishes on low flame to cook well.
Moreover try to turn the fishes up side down for atleast three to four times to get a crispy and tasty fish fry.
Once the fry is cooked well both the sides , switch off the flame.
Serve hot with rice and enjoy.

Salt - As Per Taste
