Easy Jackfruit Seed And Mango Curry || Easy Chakkakuru Manga Curry || Ep No :106

 



Jack fruit is considered as the largest tree fruit in the world as it is capable of growing big and heavy. It's seeds provide trace elements of minerals like magnesium, potassium, copper, calcium and zinc. Moreover Jackfruit is fully packed with protein and several other nutrients like vitamin B and potassium. There are several remarkable benefits of Jackfruit seeds. It is good for your skin as it fights on wrinkles. It helps in curing skin diseases and reduces mental stress. Consuming Jackfruit seeds can meet the daily intake of iron and thus helps in managing anaemia. It contain Vitamin A, which is good for the vision, thus it prevents Night blindness. Vitamin A promotes hair growth and prevents brittle hair. The seeds of Jackfruit manages indigestion. And if suffering from constipation, it is a good remedy as it is rich in dietary fibre. Jackfruit seeds are rich in proteins and thus helps for building muscles. The proteins that we receive from Jackfruit is free from cholesterol too.


Raw Mangoes are good for the liver and it is believed to treat liver ailments. Raw Mangoes are richest source of Vitamin C which triggers the immune system. It is an essential source of vitamin B Niacin which promotes health of heart. It controls blood disorders like anaemia, blood clots and haemophilia. The raw mango is the most preferred choice of food for weight loss.

Jackfruit seed mango curry / Chakkakuru Manga Curry is quiet famous curry in Kerala, especially the northern parts of Kerala. Its an yummy tangy curry which is the best side dish for hot rice. Especially during rainy season, it can be enjoyed well. The coconut and other spices added to the curry gives ap special taste. This is usual curry during the season of Jackfruit and raw Mangoes.


Method Of Preparation

Take a cup of chopped raw mango.

Transfer to an earthen pot and pout half cup water.

Switch on the flame and cook on medium flame.

In a mixi jar , take 8 tablespoon of grated coconut , quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder  and half tablespoon of coriander powder.

Add quarter glass of water and grind well.Make it as a fine paste.

When mango boils, reduce flame and add 3 sliced green chilies , cook well.

Take a cup of pressure cooked jackfuit seeds, ( around 30 Nos ), remove its skin and slice into pieces lengthwise.

Add jackfruit seeds to mangoes and pour prepared mix.

Add quarter glass of water to the mix, stir well.

Add a stick of curry leaves and quarter teaspoon of salt.

Mix well and bring to boil.

When it boils, switch off the flame and serve after 10 minutes with hot rice.

Raw Mango - One Cup Green Chilies - 3Nos Grated Coconut - 8 Tablespoon Turmeric Powder - Quarter Teaspoon Coriander Powder - Half Tablespoon Jackfruit Seeds - One Cup ( 30Nos) Salt - As Per Taste Water - As Required
