Jackfruit is mostly known as Jack tree, which belongs to the species of mulberry and breadfruit family. It's origin is in rainforests of Malasiya and western Ghats of South India.
Take raw jack fruit , clean and remove its seeds .
Chop jack fruit length wise .
Transfer to an earthen pot .
In a mixi jar, take 5 tablespoon of grated coconut ,half tablespoon of red chili powder, quarter teaspoon cumin seeds , a pinch of turmeric powder.
Add 4 garlic, 15 whole pepper, pour half glass of water and grind it.
Add a stick of curry leaves and crush it.
Pour the mix to the pot.
Add one and half glass of water and required crystal salt, mix well.
Cover and cook on medium flame, stir in between.
When it boils , reduce flame and cook on low flame.
When water dries and jackfruit cooks well, switch off the flame
Switch on the flame again and keep another pan.
Add 2 tablespoon of coconut oil.
When coconut oil heats up, add quarter teaspoon of mustard seeds.
When mustard seeds splutters , add sliced one shallot.
When it turns golden color, add one dry red chili and a stick of curry leaves, switch off the flame
Transfer the seasoning to the cooked jackfruit.
Cover for 5 minutes and the serve.
