Netholi Meen Curry || Indian Anchovy Fish Curry || Ep No :97

Here's the recipe of Indian Anchovy Fish Curry which is a best combination with hot rice and tapioca. It's an yummy fish recipe with the taste of coconut . The tanginess of Malabar Tamarind will combine with coconut and gives you a heavenly taste. Indian Anchovy is a rich source of calcium. The fish can be consumed along with its bones. Very tender fish bones are rich in calcium and hence its a best recipe for children, elders and pregnant women.


Take 500 grams of Indian Anchovy , wash and drain well.

In a mixi jar, take 5 tablespoon of grated coconut , one tablespoon red chili powder, half tablespoon coriander powder , quarter teaspoon turmeric powder and 6 shallots.

Add half glass of water  and grind it.

Add the prepared mix to the fish and add 2 pieces of Malabar tamarind, half tablespoon crystal salt and 2 glasses of water.

Add 2 sliced green chilies and 2 chopped tomatoes.

Keep on high flame and cook on fire wood.

When it boils, reduce flame and cook for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes , check salt , add 2 sticks of curry leaves and off the flame.

Keep for 2 minutes on flame and serve with hot rice.


Ingredients
Indian Anchovy - 500 Grams
Grated Coconut - 5 Tablespoon
Red Chili Powder - One Tablespoon
Coriander Powder - Half Tablespoon
Turmeric Powder - Quarter Teaspoon
Shallots - 6Nos
Green Chilies - 2Nos
Tomatoes - 2Nos
Malabar Tamarind - 2 Small Pieces
Crystal Salt - One Tablespoon
Water - 2 Glasses
Curry Leaves - 2 Sticks
