Mathi Thenga Arachathu || Sardine Fish In Coconut Gravy|| Ep No : 57

 Here's the recipe of sardine fish in coconut gravy.



Keep an earthen pot and add 2 tablespoon of coconut oil , spread evenly inside the pot and keep on high flame.

Add 4 sticks of fresh curry leaves and switch off the flame.

Add 3 tablespoon of chili powder, quarter teaspoon coriander powder and quarter tablespoon of turmeric powder .Mix well.

Add one glass of water and mix well.

Keep 10 pieces of Malabar Tamarind , add one tablespoon of salt , pour water and soak for 10 minutes.

Add soaked Malabar tamarind along with the salt water.

Switch on the flame , keep on high flame , add one glass of water and bring to boil.

Take 8 tablespoon of grated coconut , add some water and crush it.

Then add a stick of fresh curry leaves and just crush once again.

When it boils, add cleaned sardine fish. Mix altogether.

Add some sliced ginger and 4 sticks of curry leaves.

Cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes.

Add quarter tablespoon of salt to the mix and add to the fish curry.

Mix slowly.

When the curry boiled fully , switch off the flame.

Serve with hot rice or tapioca.




Ingredients

Sardine Fish - Half Kg

Chili Powder - 3 Tablespoon

Coriander Powder - Quarter Tablespoon

Turmeric Powder- Quarter Tablespoon

Malabar Tamarind - 10 Small Pieces

Coconut Oil - 2 Tablespoon

Fresh Grated Coconut - 8 Tablespoon

Curry Leaves - One Fistful

Water - As Required
