Beef Ularthiyathu || Kerala Style Beef Ularthiyathu ||Episode No:56

 Here's the recipe of yummy beef ularthiyathu.




For that take one Kg beef, chop into medium size pieces, wash well.

Take one big piece ginger, slice lengthwise.

Slice Green chilies.

Put washed and drained beef pieces to a pressure cooker.

Add ginger, green chilies and some curry leaves.

Add one teaspoon coriander powder, quarter teaspoon turmeric powder,and one teaspoon chili powder.

Don't add water, close cooker and cook for one whistle.

After a whistle ,cook for 2 to 3 minutes on a low flame and then switch off the flame.

Take two medium size big onion,25 garlic pieces and some chopped ginger.

Chop big onion lengthwise thinly.

Open pressure cooker and check beef is half cooked.

Keep a pan and add 4 tablespoons of coconut oil.

When oil gets hot, add some curry leaves.

Add chopped big onions,saute well.

Take 2 tablespoons of coriander powder, 4 tablespoons of chili powder,one teaspoon turmeric powder and 2 tablespoon of meat masala.

For making garam masala take one tablespoon of fennel seeds ,15 cardamoms, 20 cloves and some cinnamon pieces.

Grind on a mixi jar and make powder.

When big onion sorted well, add garlic and stir well.

When it sorted well, add all the powders along with prepared garam masala.

Pour some water and mix well until raw smell goes off.

Transfer half cooked beef to the pan and mix well.

Cover and cook until water reduces and beef fully cooked on a low flame.

Stir in between .

It takes minimum half an hour to cook beef properly.

When beef gets cooked well, add curry leaves and switch off the flame.

Best along with bread, chapathi , appam,pathiri and even with rice.

Taste best if take on the next day,after heated up once again.

On the next day ,it become more dry,dark and more tasty.

Beef - One Kg Ginger - Two Pieces Green Chilies - 5 Nos Coriander Powder- 3 Teaspoons Turmeric powder-One and Half Tablespoon Chili Powder- 5 Teaspoon Big Onion -2 Nos Coconut Oil- 4 Tablespoon Garlic - 20 Nos Meat Masala - 2 Tablespoon Fennel Seeds- One Tablespoon Cardamoms - 15 Nos Cloves - 20 Nos Cinnamon pieces - 3-4 Small Pieces

Salt - As Per Taste
Water - Half Cup
Curry Leaves- One Fistful
