 Here's the recipe of yummy beef ularthiyathu. For that take one Kg beef, chop into medium size pieces, wash well. Take one big piece ginger, slice lengthwise. Slice Green chilies. Put washed and drained beef pieces to a pressure cooker. Add ginger, green chilies and some curry leaves. Add one teaspoon coriander powder, quarter teaspoon turmeric powder,and one teaspoon chili powder. Don't add water, close cooker and cook for one whistle. After a whistle ,cook for 2 to 3 minutes on a low flame and then switch off the flame. Take two medium size big onion,25 garlic pieces and some chopped ginger. Chop big onion lengthwise thinly. Open pressure cooker and check beef is half cooked. Keep a pan and add 4 tablespoons of coconut oil. When oil gets hot, add some curry leaves. Add chopped big onions,saute well.  Take two bunches of Ladies Finger Banana. Peel the outer skin of banana. Chop banana into small pieces. Wash banana until water clears. Add a pinch of fresh pepper powder.,one teaspoon chili powder, quarter teaspoon turmeric powder,and a pinch of coriander powder. Add salt as per taste. Mix well. Cover with lid and cook well. When banana's cooked well, switch off the flame. Keep another pan and add two tablespoons of coconut oil. Add one teaspoon mustard seeds. When it splutters, add a fistful of curry leaves. Add cooked banana to the seasoning, stir well. Switch off the flame. Serve hot with rice.   Sail fish is a big fish which can be made curry, which is a best combination with tapioca and rice. Method Of Preparation Take 4 pieces of Malabar tamarind and wash well. Soak it in water along with some salt. Take 2 pieces of finger and 2 green chilies, chop well. Keep 2 table spoons of Kashmiri red chili powder, 2 tablespoons of red chili powder, half tablespoon turmeric powder and quarter tablespoon coriander powder. Take washed and cleaned 600 grams of sail fish. One kg sail fish costs 360/-Indian Rupees as of September 2020. Keep earthen pot and add one tablespoon coconut oil and some curry leaves. Switch off flame and add all powders in it, stir well. Add 2 cups of water and put chopped ginger and green chilies. Switch on the flame and allow to boil. Put fish pieces and stir well.   It’s regarding an ancient measuring device called “Kazhanjikolu”. It consists of a stick, which is attached to a weighing balance. And that’s made with coconut shell. This coconut shell will make shape with a knife. This coconut shell part is used for keeping items which needed to weigh. There are three holes in the coconut shell, which is used to tie three small ropes, which is attached to a small clip that is made with brass on a stick. There are some markings on the stick, which represents the units. Similarly, there are three “X” markings on the stick. They are also used as a scale to weigh items. There is a small rope on the stick too. Which can be adjusted and kept over the “X” markings to keep the weighing balance straight. Depends on the weight of the items, need to adjust the rope over the stick, towards front and back.   Here’s the perfect recipe of Rose Cookies, which is the traditional snack of Syrian Christians. The mould should be made ready as a first step 2 days before or at least one day before preparing the snack. Wash the mould using a liquid dish wash or soap. After washing, wipe the mould using a clean and dry towel. The price of the mould was Indian Rupees .105/- as on August 2020. This mould purchased from the local shop. It’s available as online too.
