Authentic South Indian Filter Coffee With Filter Coffee Maker|Vanilla Flavored Degree Coffee|Ep No 38

Filter coffee is the most flavored and popular coffee among South Indians.The taste of good filter coffee depends on the coffee is preparing concentrated coffee which is known as Decoction. For preparing the Decoction without filter machine we need to have the Traditional Stainless Steel Metal Device which precisely has 2 cups of cylindrical shape.The upper part of the cup contains tiny holes which acts as a filter to pass the Decoction to the lower part of the cup. Usually the coffee powder of ones choice is added to the upper part and is pressed gently with the help of a metal pressing disc which is the part of the traditional filter making device.After adding the required amount of coffee powder and pressing disc is assembled inside the upper part of the device, pour hot boiling water and cover it with its cup.Wait with patience for at least 15 to 20 minutes for concentrated Decoction which is to be settled at the lower part of the device .This concentrated coffee liquid can be mixed with sugar and hot milk for strong flavored filter coffee.Coffee should be swished a couple of times to produce delicious foam on the top.But repeated swishing makes the coffee getting cold.Always serve coffee immediately after preparation.Filter coffee prepared in this traditional way is an absolute bliss in every morning with rich aroma that refresh your mind and body.


There are two types of coffee beans.One is Robusta and other one is Arabica.Robusta is cheap and easily available.Most of the instant coffee in the market is made of Robusta and it has got a bitter taste.Where as Arabica coffee beans are expensive and has got sweeter taste which is best for making filter coffee.

Authentic filter coffee maker is available in various sizes.Moreover it is available in Brass metal.Brass metal is more expensive than stainless steel.I have got a small size stainless steel filter coffee maker and I paid Indian Rupees 195/-.


Clean filter coffee maker properly after usage, especially all the tiny pores of the filter maker.


Ingredients

Traditional filter coffee device
Coffee powder - 4 teaspoon
Sugar - 3 teaspoon
Vanilla Syrup - Half teaspoon
Milk - Three fourth cup
Water - Half cup



Method of preparation

For making filter coffee we need traditional filter coffee maker.
Take 4 teaspoon of coffee powder with 90% coffee and 10% chickery
Add coffee powder to the upper compartment
Gently press and level coffee powder with a spoon
Keep a pan and add half glass of water for boiling
Keep pressing disc inside and pour boiled water to the upper compartment
Close it with lid and allow to rest for 15 to 20 minutes to collect decoction /coffee liquid at the lower compartment
Choose full fat cream milk for preparing coffee
Keep a pan and add three fourth cup of milk and boil
After boiling, stir milk again  for 7 to 10 minutes to thicken the milk
After 10 minutes when milk thickens,switch off the flame and transfer the milk to a cup
After 20 minutes , open coffee filter maker and check decoction
The thick decoction is ready.The thickness of coffee is depends on the amount of chickery of the coffee powder
Avoid chickery , those who are allergic to chickery
Add 2 teaspoon decoction to the glass
The strength of coffee depends on the amount of decoction used
Add 3 teaspoon sugar
Add half teaspoon of vanilla syrup to prepare vanilla flavored coffee
Pour prepared hot milk to the decoction
Swish coffee from one cup to another and make frothy coffee
The medium strong filter coffee is ready to serve
To make even more strong coffee, add one teaspoon decoction over the coffee froth and serve
Swish and make strong coffee before having the coffee
You can reuse coffee powder and prepare decoction again
But it doesn't have the fresh flavor of the coffee
Always prepare fresh decoction and prepare coffee freshly for best results
Its a frothy,creamy and tasty coffee with vanilla flavor
It has a good aroma and refreshing flavor
