Migraine Home Remedy | Natural Remedy|Headache Relief|Traditional Medicine For Migraine | Episode No : 28

Ingredients

Ginger - A small piece
Drum stick - One stick of drum stick leaf
Water - One glass
Honey - One and half teaspoon



Method of preparation

Take a piece of ginger and a stick of fresh drum stick leaves
Remove the leaves from the stick
Thoroughly wash ginger and drum stick leaves
Crush ginger
Keep a pan and add one glass of water
Add crushed ginger and mix well
Allow to boil for 5 minutes
After 5 minutes add washed drum stick leaves
Mix well and allow to boil for 5 minutes
Keep it in the low flame and don't cover with the lid while boiling
Five minutes later, the amount of water reduces again
Put off the flame and allow to cool
Once its cooked well, strain it through a strainer
Press gently using a spoon and take out all juice from it
You will get only very few amount of juice as the final product even though we added a glass of water in the beginning
To this add one and half teaspoon honey and mix well 

Medicine is ready to use now.

Effects of Ginger,Honey and Drumstick leaves 

Ginger is a natural analgesic. Honey is rich in potassium and magnesium and these minerals increases the blood flow to brain and skull.This way it reduces the migraine .Moreover many studies proved tat drum stick leaves has anti migraine property.And thus this has been using as a traditional medicine for migraine .

Directions for use


Drink on an empty stomach in the morning.And have food or fluids only after one hour or else you can have during bed time.That is finish your dinner early and after 3 hours having dinner, drink this medicine and go to bed .This is because you need to give time for the food to be digested before taking the medicine.

Always prepare this freshly and consume for the best results.

Continue for two weeks and then take a break for the next two weeks and then repeat the same after that.Even you can take during the attack of migraine if nausea and vomiting is not disturbing you much.

Precautions

Its not indicated for those who have burning sensation and ulcer in the stomach since ginger is spicy

Traditionally ts not permitted to have drumstick leaf during the month of Karkidkam in Kerala, India.Usually between July- August as its believed to cause certain health issues .So dont prepare and use this medicine during those days.Its a herbal remedy for migraine and hence it's believed that there is no side effects And in case if anybody feels any discomfort after using it, please stop immediately and discontinue the medicine.
