Banana flower has got outstanding medicinal properties .It has a high potential nutritional profile.These are packed with essential minerals such as phosphorus, potassium, calcium magnesium and iron.All the essential elements plays vital role in the body.The banana flowers protects from many infections, supports menstrual wellness, controls diabetes, boosts mood and reduces anxiety, averts cancer and heart disease, improves lactation, promotes kidney function, boosts iron levels remedies digestive problems , aids weight loss, treats prostrate enlargement, augments hair growth and supports bone health.

 Ingredients

Banana flower- 3 Nos , small size
Coconut oil- 3 teaspoon
Coconut - 5 tablespoon, freshly grated
Shallots-3 Nos
Turmeric powder- Quarter teaspoon
Green chilies-3Nos
Curry leaves- 3 sticks
Salt - As required
Water - As required
Red Cow peas- One cup, Boiled



Method of preparation
Take three small size banana flower.
Remove outer three- four layers and chop well.
Add a tablespoon of coconut oil, mix well.
In a mixi jar, take 5 tablespoon of coconut, three shallots, quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder , crush well.
Keep a pan and add chopped banana flower.Add half teaspoon salt to the boiled red cow pea and keep along with banana flower.
Add three green chilies and a pinch of salt to the coconut mix and add along with red cow peas.
Cover and cook on medium flame until banana flower softens and cook well.
Mix altogether and add some fresh curry leaves too.
Serve with hot rice.
