Vazha Koombu Thoran || Banana Flower Stir Fry|| Ep No :85
Take 2 fistful of green gram,soak for 4 hours.
Take one banana flower , remove first 2 to 3 layers.Chop it finely.
Washed soaked green gram twice and put into earthen pot .
Cook on high flame initially.
Reduce the flame when green gram boils.
When green gram cooked well , add half tablespoon salt, mix well.
Add chopped banana flower , stir well, cover and cook on low flame .
To a mixi jar , add 5 tablespoon of grated coconut , 5 garlic , a pinch of turmeric powder ,half tablespoon red chili powder , crush well.
Then add 2 sticks of curry leaves , crush again.
Add the mix to banana flower, stir well.
Cover and cook for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.
Keep a pan and add 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, when it gets hot , add half teaspoon mustard seeds.
When it splutters, add a stick of curry leaves.
Transfer banana flower to the seasoning , stir well , switch off the flame.
Serve with hot rice.

Banana Flower - One Nos
Green Gram - 2 Fistful
Grate Coconut - 5 Tablespoon
Garlic - 5 Nos
Turmeric Powder - One Pinch
Red Chili Powder - Half Tablespoon
Curry Leaves - 3 Sticks
Coconut Oil - 2 Tablespoon
Mustard Seeds - Half Teaspoon
Salt - As PerTaste
