French Fries Without Freezing || Easy French Fries || Ep No : 76

French Fries can be served during lunch or dinner or can be taken as a snack. These are prepared with potatoes which is deep fried in oil. And hence it is considered as fast food, more over it is an unhealthy one as it consists of lot of trans fat in it. Mostly French Fries are salty in nature. Both increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases if consumed on regular basis. But it is a mouth watery snack which is loved by kids and adults. So, if prepared in our own kitchen with good quality oil and less salt, it can be much more better than getting from restaurants.



Take one kilograms big and long potatoes.

To get the exact shape and size of the french fries ,it is necessary to select long and big potatoes.

Wash well and peel the potatoes.

Cut and chop potatoes lengthwise.

Take a vessel, transfer chopped potatoes and add water , quarter teaspoon salt and cook potatoes.

Add a pinch of turmeric powder, stir well.

Allow to boil.

When it boils, reduce flame to prevent overflow of water.

When potatoes are just cooked, drain them.

Do not over cook potatoes.

Keep a pan on the flame , add 250 ml oil.

When oil gets hot, put cooked potatoes and fry well.

To get more crispy, put on low flame while putting potatoes and then keep on high flame.

When its crispy and start turning golden color, take out from oil.

Repeat the same for remaining potatoes too.

Serve hot with tomato ketch up.



Ingredients Potatoes - One Kilogram Oil - 250 ml Salt - As Per Taste Turmeric Power - One Pinch Water - As Required
