Sea pike fishes can grow relatively large size up to 10 to 15 kg with a length of 40 to 50 cm or even more. These are typical salt water fishes with black skin and white flesh. It's great when prepares as gravy than frying them.  Here's the recipe of sea pike fish curry in Kerala style, which is  a best combination with hot rice and tapioca. For that take 750 grams of sea pike fish ,washed and cut into medium size pieces. For 750 grams of sea pike fish, the price is Indian Rupees 160/- as of November 2020. Koorkka or Chinese Potatoes are seasonal vegetable usually starts available fro November to March in Kerala.It has an unique taste with a distinct earthy flavor. It takes lot of patience and effort to clean the Chinese Potatoes. But if its fresh enough and not dried too much then it,s easy to remove the outer skin.The effort is worthy, as it has an yummy taste.The dish can be served with rice or porridge.    Here's the recipe of Chinese Potato stir fry , which is a best combination with hot rice. Put one kg Chinese potatoes into a basket and rub well in it. Do the rubbing of these Chinese potatoes under running water.  If the Chinese potatoes are fresh, it's easier to remove the outer skin easily.  Here's the recipe of vellayappam using raw rice flour. Take 2 glasses of water in a vessel, allow to boil. Take quarter glass or 4 tablespoons of sooji/ semolina ,add a glass of water. Mix well and transfer to the boiled water, stir continuously to prevent lumps. When it boils and become thick consistency, switch off the flame and allow to cool. Keep another vessel and add one glass of water , make it warm. Take half teaspoon yeast and half teaspoon sugar to a a bowl,add the warm water, mix well and keep yeast to activate. Into a mixi jar, add 4 tablespoons of grated coconut ,add some water and grind well. When sooi /semolin cools well, add 3 glasses of raw rice flour, activated yeast and grinded fresh coconut . Add a tablespoon sugar and three fourth tablespoon salt, mix well altogether. Batter should like dosa batter consistency , should not be too loose or thin. Cover and keep for fermentation for 2 hours. After 2 hours , the batter fermented well, but the time for fermentation
