Cucumber is a low calorie vegetable which consists of many vitamins and minerals.It consists of high water content and hence it hydrate your body.It aids in balancing blood sugar level and control weight.And hence cucumber is widely used in the weight loss program.Moreover it is good anti- oxidant too, which nourished each and every cells in the body.The recipe has not used any form of oil in it , so that it is a best choice during dieting.Those who are in the journey of weight loss program can reduce the amount of coconut and salt for the better results faster.The curry is not a spicy one so that it can be consumed by all age groups.Even small kids , above one year old can also have this curry along with rice.  Here's the recipe of cucumber curry, a best combination with hot rice. Take a medium size cucumber, cut , peel , remove seeds and chop into pieces. Wash twice under running water and transfer to an earthen pot. Add half tablespoon salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame.

Prawns cooked in coconut milk gives an amazing taste and flavour. Here the prawns is shallow fried in coconut oil, and then cooked in coconut milk along with certain spices. Moreover, this is seasoned with shallots and garlic too.All these gives an extraordinary taste to the dish. It can be served with hot rice, appam, pathiri or bread. Take 2 pieces of Malabar Tamarind , wash and make into small pieces . Add quarter tablespoon of salt and half  glass of water and soak for 10 minutes.  Here's the recipe of dhal curry in Kerala style,which is best combination with hot rice and chappathi. Take 100 grams of sambar dhal , wash and soak overnight. Next day wash the soaked sambar dhal once again and transfer to a pressure cooker, add half glass water and cook for a whistle on medium flame.  After a whistle , switch off the flame and wait till the pressure goes off. Take 6 tablespoon of grated coconut , a pinch of turmeric powder , one sliced shallot , one tablespoon chili powder , and half tablespoon cumin seeds. Add some water and grind into fine paste. When the pressure in the cooker, completely goes off, open and transfer the cooked dhal to an earthen pot.Add 5 sliced shallots along with half glass of water. When it start boiling ,add the prepared mix to the curry after adding half tablespoon of salt and bring to boil on high flame. When it start boiling , switch off the flame.  Here's the recipe of sardine fish in coconut gravy. Keep an earthen pot and add 2 tablespoon of coconut oil , spread evenly inside the pot and keep on high flame. Add 4 sticks of fresh curry leaves and switch off the flame. Add 3 tablespoon of chili powder, quarter teaspoon coriander powder and quarter tablespoon of turmeric powder .Mix well. Add one glass of water and mix well. Keep 10 pieces of Malabar Tamarind , add one tablespoon of salt , pour water and soak for 10 minutes. Add soaked Malabar tamarind along with the salt water. Switch on the flame , keep on high flame , add one glass of water and bring to boil. Take 8 tablespoon of grated coconut , add some water and crush it. Then add a stick of fresh curry leaves and just crush once again. When it boils, add cleaned sardine fish. Mix altogether. Add some sliced ginger and 4 sticks of curry leaves.
