Easy Egg Roast ||Mutta Roast In Kerala Style || With Less Ingredients|| Episode No :34
Egg roast is a tasty dish that usually served with Apppam, porotta , bread and puttu.It is prepared with very less ingredients and also it's not spicy.The real taste comes when the eggs are nicely roasted in onion tomato based gravy.This dish can be made instantly with very few ingredients which is always available in the kitchen.The main highlight of this dish is the flavor from the crushed pepper.The key to make this delicious , egg roast is to roast onions well till they turn dark brown color. By this way you will get tasty and flavored egg roast.
Ingredients
Eggs - 3 Nos
Onions - 4 Nos
Tomatoes - 2 Nos
Garlic - 6 Pieces
Ginger - One small piece
Curry leaves - 2 Sticks
Water - One and half cup
Turmeric powder - Quarter teaspoon
Dry red chili powder - One teaspoon
Kashmiri chili powder - One and half teaspoon
Crushed pepper- Half teaspoon
Coconut oil - 5 table spoon
Salt - As per taste
Method of preparation
Take 3 eggs, 4 onions, 2 tomatoes , 6 pieces of garlic, a small piece of ginger and two sticks of fresh curry leaves
Chop onions and tomatoes lengthwise, cut garlic into 2 to 3 pieces and ginger very thinly and chop a stick of fresh curry leaves
Keep a pan and add one cup of water
Add a teaspoon of stone salt and eggs, boil for 10 minutes
After 10 minutes , switch off the flame and deshell eggs after cooling
Take quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder ,one teaspoon dry red chili powder, one and half teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder and half teaspoon crushed pepper
Add water and make it a thin mix
Cut the boiled eggs into slices
Keep a pan and add 5 tablespoon of coconut oil
To the heated oil add chopped onion and required salt, mix well
When onion starts changes its color add chopped ginger and garlic , sort well
When onion turns golden brown color , add chopped tomatoes and curry leaves
Stir well until tomatoes cook well
Then add the prepared mix and cook until the raw smell goes off
Check salt and add if it's required
Add boiled eggs and mix gently , cook for 5 minutes
Add a stick of fresh curry leaves ,have a mix and switch off the flame
Its an easy egg roast with very few ingredients
Best wih Appam, porotta and puttu
