Paneer Peas Masala|| Matar Paneer Masala||Easy Paneer Matar||Authentic Mattar Paneer || Recipe No:06

Delicious Matar Paneer is a vegetarian dish prepared with peas and paneer cooked in Onion and tomato based gravy spiced with various Indian spices. Due to its exotic combination with chapati,roti and nan it is mostly prepared at home.



Ingredients

Fresh frozen peas - 200 grams
Paneer - 200 grams
Onion  - 1 Nos
Green chilli-4 Nos
Ginger -2 small pieces
Tomato -2 Nos
Garlic -6 Nos
Dry red chilli - 4 Nos
Kashmiri red chilli -3 Nos
Cardamom -2 Nos
Cumin seeds - Quarter teaspoon
Fennel seeds - Quarter teaspoon
Whole coriander seeds- 10 Nos
Star anise - One petal
Cloves - 2 Nos
Cinnamon stick - Small piece
Cashewnut - 3 Nos
Curd - 5 Teaspoon
Refined oil - 4 Teaspoon

Water -1 Cup
Dried Fenugreek
Fresh Coriander leaves
Salt - As per taste




Method of preparation

Take 200 grams off fresh frozen peas and 200 grams of paneer
Cut paneer into cubes
Take one onion, 4 green chilies,small 2 pieces of ginger, 2 small tomatoes and 6 garlic
Cut onion lengthwise,slit green chilies,chop ginger,cut garlic into two pieces,cut tomato lengthwise
Take 4 dry red chilies,3 kashmiri red chilies,2 cardamom,quarter teaspoon cumin seeds,quarter teaspoon fennel seeds,10 seeds of  whole coriander ,one petal star anise,2 cloves,a small piece cinnamon stick,3 splited cashew-nuts
Grind and make fine paste by adding water
Add 5 teaspoon of curd
Beat curd and make it smooth with fork
Keep a pan and add 2 teaspoon of refined oil
Add paneer to the heated oil
Shallow fry it
Transfer paneer to a plate
Keep a pan and ad 2 teaspoon refined oil
Add onion to the heated oil and stir well
Add chopped ginger and garlic
Stir well and add masala to it
Mix well and add chopped tomatoes
Cook well
Add green chilies and fresh coriander leaves
Mix well and add curd
Stir well , add fresh frozen peas
Mix peas to the masala
Cook peas adding a cup of hot water
Add quarter teaspoon of salt
Mix well and allow to boil
Add fried paneer and gently mix to the gravy
Add dried fenugreek leaves for the flavor
Check salt and add if required
Gently mix gravy
Peas is well cooked after 10 minutes
Mash some peas to thicken the gravy
Finally check the salt and its flavors
Add fresh coriander leaves and mix well
Put off the flame

Yummy vegetarian curry for chapathi, roti and nan.
