We all like having sweet peanut candy or chikki's . And the world famous place for manufacturing these peanut candy is Kovil patty, the second largest town at Thoothukudi district at Tamil Nadu, India.

Mostly will get ready to take away packets. But if you go to wholesale shops you can taste the sample and get the freshly prepared peanut candy's .As per your requirement you can weigh, pack in front of you and get it.

Another one is those candy's packed in palm leaf baskets.These peanut candy's are more flavorful than others.There is a cling wrap over t the basket, should remove first.Inside the palm leaf basket, the peanut candy's are packed in a silver coated cover hygienically.After opening , transfer into a serving plate.

There is a zip lock at the top of the cover peanut candy and open above to that by saving the zip lock .After opening transfer to a serving plate

Those peanut candy's covered in palm leaf are more light color in appearance than those which was in the packet one.Peanut candy in the palm leaf basket has more flavor of fresh peanut and has moderate sweetness of jaggery.

The peanut candy's from ordinary package has more taste of jaggery than the peanut  taste .It is more sweeter than the one in the palm leaf basket.

The ingredients in the packet peanut candy is roasted peanut, cardamom, dried ginger , jaggery, added glucose and water. But the most dominated taste is the jaggery.

Where  as no idea regarding the ingredients of candy's from the palm leaf basket.

Candy's from  both the packets where good, fresh , hygienic and has fresh nutty flavor with little differences in the sweetness level and taste.

The price of peanut candy in the packet is Indian Rupees 40/- for 200 grams.And the other one which is in the palm leaf basket is Indian Rupees 120/- per basket.

Store in an air tight container after opening to retain its flavor.

Kovilpatty peanut candy are available online too.But its always cheap and best if you can get it from the local shops at Kovil patty, Tamil Nadu,India.

At least once you need to taste the peanut candy's from Kovil patty to distinguish the difference from other peanut candy's.

  Sail fish is a big fish which can be made curry, which is a best combination with tapioca and rice. Method Of Preparation Take 4 pieces of Malabar tamarind and wash well. Soak it in water along with some salt. Take 2 pieces of finger and 2 green chilies, chop well. Keep 2 table spoons of Kashmiri red chili powder, 2 tablespoons of red chili powder, half tablespoon turmeric powder and quarter tablespoon coriander powder. Take washed and cleaned 600 grams of sail fish. One kg sail fish costs 360/-Indian Rupees as of September 2020. Keep earthen pot and add one tablespoon coconut oil and some curry leaves.
